Charter of Corporate Behavior
At the Meito Group, we have established and practice a Charter of Corporate Behavior to be observed by all officers and employees, as we aim to be a company that is trusted by society, pursuing business activities with our Corporate Philosophy as our common aspiration.

Top management and officers recognize that it is their role to realize the spirit of this Charter of Corporate Behavior, take initiative and set an example, and thoroughly instill the Charter throughout the Company and at Group companies, while striving to establish an effective internal system.
In the event of any violation of the Charter, top management and officers will take responsibility for resolving the problem, investigating the cause, and preventing recurrence, while promptly and accurately disclosing information to society, and taking strict disciplinary action, including action against themselves.
Human Rights Policy
At the Meito Group we believe that it is important to respect the human rights of all people, both within and outside the Group, including our customers, business partners, and employees, in the course of our business activities based on our Corporate Philosophy, Basic Business Policies, and Charter of Corporate Behavior. To fulfill this responsibility, we have established the Meito Group Human Rights Policy and are committed to respecting human rights based on this Policy.
This Policy applies to all officers and employees of the Meito Group. We also encourage Meito Group business partners to endorse this Policy.
- We support and respect international human rights standards, including the International Bill of Human Rights and the International Labour Organization’s Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work, in accordance with the United Nations’ Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.
- We do not engage in discrimination or harassment on the basis of race, ethnicity, gender, language, religion, creed, nationality, property, birth, sexual orientation, or disability. We provide a healthy and safe working environment and respect workers’ rights, including freedom of association and the right to collective bargaining. We do not tolerate forced labor, child labor, or human trafficking, and we do not engage in such practices ourselves.
- We have established and continuously implement a human rights due diligence mechanism to identify and take measures to prevent or mitigate negative impacts on human rights of the Meito Group’s business activities.
- We engage in ongoing dialogue and consultation with relevant stakeholders and external experts in order to promote initiatives based on this Policy.
- We provide necessary and appropriate training and education to all officers and employees to ensure this Policy is effective.
- We disclose appropriate information on our human rights initiatives, progress, and results.
- We strive to prevent human rights violations, detect violations at an early stage, and prevent their recurrence by operating an internal reporting system for employees and responding to complaints we receive. We also seek necessary remedies through appropriate procedures.

Environmental Policy
The Meito Group recognizes that its business activities are entwined with the rich natural environment. We give consideration to the environment when conducting our activities.
- We comply with all domestic and foreign environmental laws and regulations, and engage in environmentally conscious activities with good social judgment.
- We work to conserve resources and reduce our environmental impact in all processes from procurement, product design, production, sales, and disposal when providing safe, reliable, and high-quality products and services to our customers.
- We promote environmentally friendly business activities, including the prevention of air and water pollution and the maintenance and preservation of ecosystems, by working to protect the environment, conserve resources, and save energy.
- We promote energy conservation, and strive to implement initiatives to reduce CO2 and other greenhouse gases to curb global warming.
- We recycle and properly dispose of waste materials. We strive to recycle as much as possible and work to reduce waste generated by our business activities.
- We properly manage chemical substances used or generated in our business activities and strive to prevent pollution.
- We work to improve awareness of environmental protection through environmental education and awareness-raising activities.

Procurement Policy
To ensure we consistently provide safe and high-quality products, the Meito Group complies with laws and regulations and undertakes procurement activities, giving consideration to our social responsibilities, together with our business partners, through fair and transparent transactions.
- We comply with domestic and foreign laws, regulations, and internal rules, and conduct procurement activities with good social judgment.
- We undertake procurement activities that give top priority to providing safe, reliable, and high-quality products to our customers.
- We build sound relationships with our business partners through fair, impartial, and highly transparent procedures, and eliminate corrupt practices such as the improper provision or receipt of benefits.
- We undertake procurement activities toward achieving a sustainable society by giving due consideration to human rights and the working environment, and by working to protect the environment, conserve resources, and save energy.
